OK, here’s my first quote of the week for the week beginning 04/02/2008:

He then obviously didn’t visit and instead asked who the culprits were … whilst also forgiving me and Tuntis.

Nailog said something worthy of a quote of the week, it wasn’t exactly this week, and is the oldest quote so far, but I thought I’d post it. Not only is it funny, it proves Nekru is too sensitive to people who don’t like him and it has mrsmes in it too! it was posted on the 12th January ‘08 [by Nailog]:

There are several mods on YoYo, but Nailog is the only one that ever does anything as far as I can see.
I think he just deletes mrsmes’ suggestions because they’re impossible or don’t make sense. Because that’s normally what mrsmes’ suggestions are.

Oh this is classic….
From the yoyo forums we have this chap (ilcamnim), who makes a game and thinks its great…..he posts the following:
“I’m happy to present you with Hyper Invasion, i fixed the problem i told you all about.”
He then progresses onto (in later posts):
“i think my game is cool..”
Then tragedy strikes…he gets a 2star review…and ilcamnim gets a little cross and posts:
“reported your review, it was inaccurate, you gave me 2 stars for game play….”
He then posts a series of messages apparently talking to nobody, until it finally dawns on him that his game is infact, crap:
“I removed hyper invasion, it seems im the only one who liked it, oh well”
So there you have it readers, our budding Bill Gates AKA ilcamnim went from pride in his game to arguing and defending his game, and then the moment of self realisation and deletion of his game……if only all lamers could do this….

“i am using gm7.0 and i have 80gb(gigabytes) of space, i didn’t use any .mp3

Ok, Ill admit it, Im getting desperate…theres little stupidity over on yoyo at the moment, and whilst mrsmes is always good for a quote, he’s too much of an easy target as most of what he says is crap.
Below we have another mrsmes quote, this time though he’s in “experimental” mode and trying to work out how the star rating system works on the yoyo site:

1.Story 1 – result1(total results 1)
Name: my computer just about got deleted
User(user who experienced it): mrsmes
Story:
one day i was at my computer desk in the morning my computer was on(i can’t
remember when it happened but i can remember how it happened) and my computer
was going green scale and yellow scale and red scale and blue scale and pink
scale, once i fixed this i ran a test with avg for my daily test, first time it
picked up a threat of a unknown kind, and when i cancelled the test and ran
another one because it was going too slow i had no viruse in the viruse vault
and none were found in the second test not even a threat but it caused it too go
slower(listen carefully here is where i restore my system), i then restart my
computer 3 times and press F3 and access safe mode, and then just answer yes too
all the questions that come up and there was 3 of them and i installed system
restore sinse the system basicly had no choice but to do so and didn’t have it
installed and i ran system restore automattically straight after installing and
with a lot of luck i restored my system. i think the threat may have installed
itself because i never went searching for malicious malware, you may also want

I’ve reported mrsmes before and I’m sure many others have, nothing happened because YoYo’s admins are lazy, they don’t care about the site and how much it gets spammed or abused, they just care about the money they get off it.
if they won’t do anything about mrsmes then people like me and LavaBall will have to. This time I’m going to make mrsmes’ life hell – which is easy to do to someone so stupid and immature.
I’ve already got plans to spam his inbox and I think I’ll do it no matter what his reaction to my argument-starting is – he deserves it after all.
I think the one problem I’ve had with arguing with mrsmes in the past is that … he doesn’t understand what you say. it’s like he speaks a different language – yet he still expects everyone to understand him and no one to understand those who talk normally.
This time though I’m determined not to let the argument just sort-of fizzle out and I’ll keep on fighting, even if ultimately this turns into a simple spam war. You see, when you argue with mrsmes he can’t defend himself intelligiently, so he resorts to spamming and downrating your games … And asking mods to ban you, which is just annoying for everyone. But hey, the mods don’t do anything so they deserve a little spamming from the smes anyway.
and speaking of “the smes”, which is fatherofsmes’ term, mrsmes has starting calling himself that now.
He seems to copy everyone. Fatherofsmes reported in the past that mrsmes starting using his phrases and words. That sounds to me like the behavious of a small child.
Either mrsmes is a young child with irresponsible parents who allow him to lie and abuse others, or most likely he is a 16 year old with a low I.Q. [or serious mental problems]. He could of course be a prankster, but I’m not too sure of that, he’s too consistent, and I can’t see how being mrsmes is any fun.

Yeah, I doubt they know what he’s doing, especially if he is actually 16. By that age you’re usually trustworthy enough not to have your internet activity monitored. Maybe even if you do have mental problems.
I have some theories about mrsmes, about who he is.
He could be …
- a real person with low intelligience or a bad education
- a small child with poor literacy who enters big ages in the hope of being respected
- or a prankster … who seriously needs to have some real fun, rather than spend his time annoying kids.
I have a strong belief that he’s not a prankster, he’s too stupid. My theory is that he’s a young child, Australia has a good education system after all, even if it does produce jerks like Nekru.

for the first piece of February 23rd mrsmes cake, I’ll copy out some of my post. And I warn you all, this is long.

any way the sprite editor could have the following:
1.Edit multiple sprites at a time
2.Select and flip horizontally and/or vertically
3.Rotate certain parts selected within the sprite
GM could be better with the following:
1.Faster functionality
2.D&D Goes faster like gml speed

Use: Hate running into glitches whever it be in code or actions or events this
finds them in both for you, better yet you get too view the result and if it’s
what you had planned on, infact every action should have one like setting a

I’m sorry, but I think you’re overlooking here the real reason why a non-religious theory was chosen over creationism – a respect for other cultures. And also, assuming that say, a muslim were to be taught this theory, would you or would you not say that the teacher could ultimately be forcing the Christian beliefs on them by teaching it to them? This, as you should know, is against the Bible.
And as for the “fact” statement, although neither is based on 100% fact, a simple study of what we know for sure about wildlife will show a survival-of-the-fittest pattern, supporting the theory of evolution.
One last thing to add … Religious Education is already taught in America, right? Why is there a need to have two subjects serving the same purpose?
Ultimately, what you’re saying in the last paragraphs of the post is that you want to replace Science with Religion when there is truly no need. People should be given a choice in what they want to believe, and the current education system offers that.
Really, all you’re doing in this post is speaking from a purely Christian point of view with no thought for those of other cultures or beliefs.

I started off has a GM hopeful by downloading GM after witnessing the great Techno the hedgehog created by our friend Technosuperguy, anyway I began work on Sonic Death Storm using the Sonic Z engine and some of my own work, which to my surprise has done relatively well with over a 1000 plays and rated 3.9 so it wasn’t a complete waste of time.

After the release of Sonic Death Storm I began to slack off a bit until I got my new laptop, which led to the creation of The lost Chapter of Sonic Death Storm, which did ok with over 800 plays and rated a 3.6 average. Then once again a began to slack off, favouring more of my new 360 games than the sequel. It wasn’t until I told a friend of mine about GM seeing as he had an intrest himself of game programming that we decided to create a dual project featuring Sonic and Knuckles in an epic story. After about a month of editing the Sonic Z engine we decided it be best to buy GM pro to gain us 360 movement, we then moved on to the advanced Sonic ZX engine which due to having aweful GML intructions and near to no friction, we moved on to Gamer Dee’s Sonic Engine. I started work on the HUD etc, while MiNGmOO had started playing around with is fan character “Ghost” it was then it hit me..We should replace Sonic and Knuckles with our fan characters in order to create more original game play as well as an original story.

After a month of minimal work, I began a plan for Sonic death storm 2 which was a 4 paged plan of the story, the levels and all the games features….I still haven’t made one level yet, though the engine was near completion(for sonic’s part anyway). Anyway after playing and completing the highly anticipatedSuper Smash Bros Brawl, I realised that Kirby and Meta Knight were much better characters(Especially Kirby what with his copy ability, the possibilitiescould be endless) So I discussed it with MiNGmOOabout maybe changing the characters from Turbo and Ghost to Kirby and Meta Knight, for two reasons, the first being that we wanted a change in GM and secondlyon the useful yet full of assholes site named yoyogames we noticed a servier lack in Kirby games, so we decided to keep our story and change the characters.

2.Is your firewall enabled?
