Well, it had to happen at some point. Reminds me of the month when I joined the GMC, and a fake hpapilon tried to get my account password from me. But this is the PokePlushies news post, so most of you won’t know what I was talking about just then. >.< Disregard it, the important stuff is in the next paragraph.

it would appear that the Scammer poses as a secret staff member [there are none of those on PP by the way] and asks you for the unique codes of all your Cash Shop adoptables, and if you have one, a sketch Cylin [which he seems to think is a Cyde adoptable - shameful]. He also asks if you want to give him your password so he can “check” all your PokePlushies (that’s right, he doesn’t say adoptables at this point) and in return for this he claims he will return your adoptables and give you a new Cyde adoptable.

This is obviously fake, especially as if any staff member actually ever needed details like that, it’s all stored in their database. One of the scammer’s known usernames is “PokePlushies Help” [which might possibly be a cruel mimicking of PokePlushies Helper] and here is one of his PMs:

Hi, I’m a PokePlushies Undercover Agent (PPUA) and I have one thing to say:

Since the new Cyde’s adoptables and Cash Shop Adoptables were released there has been a lot of suspicious behaviour going on. Everyone’s PokePlushies are disappearing. I’m here to make sure that your PokePlushies don’t vanish. If you want your account fixed I will need the name and unique code of your sketch or cash shop adoptable (If its in a trade you may need to remove it from the trade.) or I will need your password so I can check all of your PokePlushies and make sure none of them have bugs either. Then I will send over your new Cyde’s Adoptable and get you a bug free sketch and/or adoptable. If you accept just submit to me your adoptable’s name and unique code or your password. If you don’t, you may get permanently banned if you trade it, because you will make other adoptables dissapear

As you can see, the scammer doesn’t know enough about PokePlushies, Cyde’s speaking style, or the English Language, to accurately scam someone.

it would have been possible for him to copy Cyde’s name, avatar, etc. (but not Xs, Post count or Admin rank) – I know how, but I obviously won’t tell you. if he had done that, then he might have had a chance. But everyone knows what he’s doing now, it’s too late for him to try again.

Make sure if you get one of these PMs (or one that says something similar) to report the member.
